To Celebrate the 39th Anniversary of the Nehru Planetarium (3rd March 2016), the following competitions are being organised by the Planetarium from 24 February 2016 to 3 March 2016.
Wednesday, 24 February 2016 (10 am to 1 pm)
The competition is open to students of standards IV to VII. Each participating school may nominate up to three students. The students will be provided drawing papers but they have to bring their own colouring materials. The students would be required to paint “On the Spot” on any topic of their choice in Astronomy.
Participants should report at the Nehru Planetarium by 9.30 am on Wednesday, 24 February 2016.
Thursday, 25 February 2016 (10 am to 1 pm)
The Competition is open for students of VIII and IX standards. Each participating school should nominate two students. The students would have to speak on a topic that would be announced at the time of the Competition.
Participants should report at the Nehru Planetarium by 9.30 am on Thursday, 25 February 2016.
Friday, 26 February 2016 (10 am to 1 pm)
The competition is open to students of standards V to IX. Participants will be asked to write their own poems related to Astronomy. Each school may nominate up to two students.
Participants should report at the Nehru Planetarium by 9.30 am on Friday, 26 February 2016.
Saturday, 28 February 2016 (10 am to 1 pm)
To mark the National Science Day Nehru Planetarium is organizing Science Quiz Competition for the students of VII and VIII standards.
Each participating school may nominate upto three students. These students will be given a preliminary written quiz, which will be assessed immediately. Based on their performance four students will be selected in the order of merit to compete in the oral quiz.
Participants should report at the Nehru Planetarium by 9.30 am on Saturday, 28 February 2016.
Tuesday, 1 March 2016 (10 am to 1 pm)
Nehru Planetarium is organising an Astro-Quiz Competition for the students of VIII to IX standards.
Each participating school may nominate up to three students. These students will be given a preliminary written quiz, which will be assessed immediately. Based on their performance in the written quiz four students will be selected in the order of merit to compete in the oral quiz.
Participants should report at the Nehru Planetarium by 9.30 am on Tursday, 1 March 2016.
